Challenges

This week I am once again out and about in blog world looking for challenges to join. I found three great ones. I was able to incorporate three challnges in to one card. I choose to use an image from the character cafe called "Dayzee".

~ The first is  from digi doodle shops best The challenge is to punch or cut me. I used my oval scallopped nestablitie to cut her out.

~ The next one is over at glitter babes challenge it is to use glitter and be school related. My granddaughter is starting middle school this year. I thought a card just to say have a good day on your  first day in middle school would be a nice choice. I added glitter around all the flowers on the back ground paper and around the otter edge of the image.

~ The last challenge is over at dutch dare . Where anything goes. I colored Dayzee with my copics. The background paper is some I had around. Added ribbon down the side. Cut the flowers out from the background paper and pop dotted them down the side.

Well that is my challenges this week. Don't for get to go over to the character cafe tomorrow to check pout the new feature Friday and to see all the great things the design team has com up with.I am leaving on Saturday for vacation. Fairy Knoll Challenge

This week's challenge over at fun at fairy knoll is a sketch challenge. I choose to use the freebie from over at the pcp group. She is just so cute. But then I think they all are.

I colored her with my copics and spica glitter pens and poped up her bow . The card stock is stampin up retired. The background paper is from "k & company". the coners looked a little plain so added a little bling. Hope you enjoy it and go over to check out all the great stuff they have going on. Update

I know I have been kind of missing in action the last few days. Been crazy tring to get ready for vacation and not feeling well. But during all that I did get a little done. There is a nurse at work that got married in March and for her wedding gift I am making her a scrap book of her honey moon cruise. So I thought I would give a peek here to see what I have done so far.

I will be working on it while at the beach too. I don't spend much time in the water. i just and enjoy from the side line.Hope your having a great day and I will be back in a little while with the Fairy knoll challenge this week.

Feature Friday

wow, It's Friday already. This weeks Feature Friday Challenge over at the character cafe is a pocket card. I choose to use the step by step instrutions you can find here.

I choose to use the image "Froggin Fredrik" from the new releases. Isn't he just the cutest. I colored him with copis and pop dotted him up on the lily pad. The background paper is from "K& Company" The card stock is from stampin up. Be sure and go by the character cafe and see all the great things they have going on. Fairy Knoll Challenge

Wow, I had such a busy week I let last week go by with out getting anything done for the challenge over at fun at fairy knoll. Well I made sure to get over there this week. I choose to use a freebie I got from a while back. She is "Marisa the mermaid" She can now be found in the shop. The challenge is a sketch challenge.

I used copics and spica glitter pens to color her. Then added a couple pearl like dodads. The saying is from Stampin up. Hope you enjoy this challenge and make it over to fairy knoll. to check out all the things they have going on. Have a great day and happy crafting.

Some odd girl challenge

      I entered the some odd girl shaped card challenge last week and guess what I WON. You can check out my entry here. I love all their cute stuff and so does my grandaughter. She thinks we need to get them all. So I will be working on getting more mainly for her my little crafter.
    Well this weeks challenge at some odd girl is "spots, strips & big Title". I went to look at what I wanted for this challenge and just had to get " Head in the clouds Kaylee" She just said "thinking of you"
                                 

I used "k&Comapny" background paper.Colored her with my copics & spica glitter pens. Popped her up on the cloud spots. The letter I used are from creative hands "Fairytail Alphabet" . I carried the spots and strips theme to the inside. Hope you enjoy this challenge and be sure to go by and check aout all the great images and ideas some odd girl has to offer.

Challenges

This week I am out in blog land looking for challenges to enter. I found  several and choosen three. The first being at dutch dare-card challenges. The challenge is to make a "criss cross card". They have a link explaing it here. I really had fun with this card.

                                                                                       

I choose to use the image "This little pig" from character cafe. I choose a retired stampin up card stock for the base card. The background paper is a two sided paper I had on hane. The band is a dry embossed card staock that says "Happy Birthday" I used the stampin up sizzix top note die to cut out the incert and words. Trimed off the edge of the saying. Cut out an extra cake and attached. Sponged the edges and attached to the other top note. Added a strip of color to the band and attached the piggie image. I colored him with my favorite markers "copics and spica glitter pens". I then place the band over the card and done.

The next two challenges I choose are from eat sleep stamp which is a sketch challenge and digi doodle shops best the challenge being " Use your scraps".

I choose to use the image "Birthday Spot" from the character cafe. I think he is so cute. I dug down in all my scraps {I have 4 drawers of differnt colors} and came up with these bright bold colors. I think he just screams color. I again used my copics and spicas to color him. The words are part of the little piggie set.

This next challenge is over at stamptacular sunday challenge . It is a sketch challenge.I choose to use an image from  the character cafe July releases. I just think he is so cute.

I choose to color him with my copic. My favorite thing to work with right now. Who knows about tomorrow. The card base is one I have in my stach. I added a punched doodle to the top edge and pop dotted my image. Hope you have enjoyed this challenge and go by and check out all the great stuff going on at the character cafe. Challenge

Here it is Wed. and I am off work so I got some crafting in this morning. But first I must say I have had to add word varication to my comment posting due to some spam I have been getting. Hope this doesn't detour you from commenting. I love to hear if you enjoy my stuff. Now on to the good stuff.

The first challenge is over at kraftin kimmie stamps it is to use pink in your design. I choose to use an image from doodle pantry. the image is "dare to be differnt".

I colored it with copics. used a punch to trim the brown behind the saying. sponged around the image and saying, added buttons and popped up the image with pop dots. Hope you have enjoyed this card. Have a great day and happy crafting.

Card Drive

 I couple weeks ago a very talented lady name Michelle had an accident. Below you will find more details. Several differnt digi artist have given a free digi in order for you to make a card. http://aspoonfullofsugarchallenge.blogspot.com/ Has more details in the card drive.

We would like to share some sad news today, some of you may already know from her blog, our design team member Michelle had an accident about two weeks ago, which has left her with the loss of her right eye and a long road of recovery ahead. In an effort to cheer her up and raise awareness for what happened to Michelle we are holding a card drive in her honor. We have many generous companies and individuals helping us with this special card drive and we hope you will help too!



We are asking that everyone please create a card in dedication to Michelle and mail it off to her. We would love nothing more than to flood her mailbox with well wishes from around the world. Michelle has shared so much of herself on her blog and in her design team work and this is a just a small way for us to give back to her.

My grandaughter Lynda made the top card and  I made the one on the bottom. We will be getting these in the mail tomorrow. These are both a couple of the cute donkey images that have been made just for this card drive. Hope you can jump in and make one too. I know Michelle will love all she gets.

Feature Friday & Digi winner

Ok, Hope everyone has had a great week. Mine was long, But I am off the next three days. Now on to our winning number of the digi "Summer Chores" from last weeks blog hop. Now on to our Feature Friday over at the character cafe is to make a gate card. I choose to use the image
"Candle Quinn"He is just the cutest.

I colored him using my copics. Using Spica glitter pens for his beak & candles. I spongede around the edges and used a marthe stewart punch for the top and bottom of the card. The background paper is some I have had in my stach. The card base is "Razzle berry" from stampin up.  I hope you have enjoyed this card. I will be back later with some great cards I have made. Isn't she cute? I colored her with copics. The clouds are from Stampin up design paper gotten during sale a bration. I typed up the words using word. The orange background is a mesh type ribbon with tiny orange yarn like balls all over it. hope you like it. I had a great time making it. Have a great day and happy crafting.

Another Challenge

The way I work {12 hour shifts} My day off is challenge and crafting day. So today you get several post then not another till Thursday or Friday usually but you never know. This challenge is over at some odd girl is shapes. Anything that is not squarish or rectangular.

So I choose to use the image "Surfer Kody" he was a freebie last month. I printed him out 5 x 7 paper peiced his shirt, water, surf board, shorts, & hair. colored him in with copic's. Glued him down to a blue 5 1/2 x 11 sheet of card stock and cut around him. Leaving the side intacked. I had a great time making him. I have a brother in Florida who loves to surf. He will be getting this one for his birthday in Sept. So don't tell. It's a good thing he doesn't read this or at least I don't think he does.
