Wow

I can't belive it's Sunday already. I had three days off and they went so fast. My grandson Kyle had been here for the last three weeks and he went back home Yesterday.
It is truly quite without him around. This is him and his big Sister Lynda. She lives here in Tenn. So we see her all the time.

On to the chllenge of the day. I found a challenge to make a pop up card. The challenge is over at stamp it crazy.

I choose to use the image "Dayzee" from over at the character cafe. She is very cute. She comes with three differnt images along with words, one has no words one says "have a groovy day" the other "Hippy Birthday". My granddaughter loves peace signs right now. So this card is made with her in mind. I actually made the peace sign stamp out of a foam piece that was in a bag of "peace and love" glitter stickers. It worked great.
I work the next couple days so things will probly be a little quite. Just a quick reminder the new release image blog hop over at the character cafe is this Friday, July 2nd. So be sure and stop by and check out all the great things going on. Have a great Sunday and Happy crafting.

Challenges

Well here it is Thursday. The week is going by at a steady click. I was in a crafting mood so I checked out the challenge blog to see what I could come up with.

The first one is for a couple of differnt challenges:

The first is over at i love digi challenge which is anything but a card. I made this cute little box to hold a couple golf balls and trivets? {not sure of the name} Honey has decided to once again try his hand a little putting around. He use to a long time ago.

The second on is shellys images blog which is fathers day. The image I used is a fereebie from the character cafe. It is being given away over at http://priscillastyles.ning.com/group/thecharactercafe. I used my copics to color the image. The image comes with a girl golfer. There is a "syd golfer" {the boy} over at the store. But I had "Syd nutty" took his head and pop dotted it over her head. the box was red. But I covered it with background paper to make it masculin.

My next challenge is for over at http://treehousestamps.blogspot.com/. It calls for you to use your favotite tools. I once again choose to use an image from  the character cafe called "syd nutty" . I love my copics and punches and my pop dots. He is colored with copics and I used my circle cutter to cut him out. I used my border punch from stampin up to do the edges.
I also used the sketch from stampin sanity is create this card.I had great fun with all these challenges. I hope your having a great day and that these encourage you to go out and enter a few challenges yourself. Have fun and happy crafting. Don't forget to come back tomorrow to see the great challenge we will have over at the character cafe

challenges

I have been out and about in blog world today. I was given a link to http://dailydare4u.blogspot.com/ which gives you challenge blogs everyday. So I went looking. I choose to first do a challenge over at Just for fun color challnge. This week the color challenge is  to use
I choose to use the new hippo image from The character cafe. I colored him with copics and pop dotted his package. added some tan buttons and trimed the bottom to add the saying. Hope you like him.

The next two challenges I choose to use the image "Lazy Days" also from the character cafe new releases for June.

The first one is frosted designs the challenge is to use glitter. After coloring the image again with the copics I added glitter to the mushroom and to the bees wings along with the trail coming from the bee. I just think these guys are so cute. I also added glitter to the center of the designs on the card.

The next challenge I am using this card for is over at clean and simple stamping. There challenge is a sketch challenge.

I hope everyone has enjoyed these projects. I had a great time doing them. Besure and go by to see all the great stuff and if your stuck be sure and look at all the great images over at  the character cafe . Have a great week end and happy crafting.

Challenge # 21

Well it's that time again. Challenge time that is over at the character cafe. This month is all about technique's. This week's challenge is father's And embossing. Any kind of embossing will work.

I choose to use "Sooki Ooblis" and a saying you can find at the cafe. I colored him with my copic's cut off his antana's and replaced thim with wire. Pop dotted the flowers in his hand and on his leg. Embossed the orange paper behind him and pop dotted him. Sponged around the words and attached them to the card. I just love taking an image and adding that little something extra and using it in a way that most wouldn't think about using it.
Be sure and go by the cafe and check out all the great creations the design team has come up with. While your there join in on the challenge and show us what you come up with. Have a great day and happy crafting.

Father's Day Card

My Granddaughter Lynda has been at it again. She is fastly becoming one of my biggest challenges. She has taken an image I got from the digi shack. called dancing bananas.

And made this wonderful card for my dad for fathers day. She is 11 going on 25. You know that age. She totallly made and designed this card on her own. I helped her type up the words. But again they are all hers. She just continues to amaze me.I know my dad her great granddad will love it and keep it as he always does with those special things all of us make for him.
Don't forget to come back tomorrow to see the card I made for the challenge over at the character cafe. This week the challenge is a Technidue challenge. Hope you are having a great day and happy crafting.

Challenge

Last week I played along with raise the bar challenge and won a guest design member spot for this week. This weeks challenge is "anything summer". A few weeks ago I showed you a load of retro cards I received. In the batch was a great Little image for this challenge. It just screamed summer.
I ran it through our copier and used it for this challenge.I didn't want to ruin the original card design .
I think it turned out great. I used silver glitter around the umbrella & the towel fringe. pop dotted her up & added some small bead like trim down the side of the card. added words from a stampin up set and there you have it. My design for the guest spot over at raise the bar challenge. So go by and see all the great ideas. And to add your  project for the chance to be a guest designer. Never know you could be next.
Wow, it's time for new releases over at the  character cafe. As always we start off with a blog hop. If you arrived here from deanettes delight then your on the right track. If not hop over to the cafe and start from the beginning. We have a lot of cool things going on this month.

My image this month is called "Bang Boom" There are 6 images in the set . Lots of great ideas for it. With the forth of July coming up & all the other celebrations this would be great to use.

I used two images. One that says "celebrate" with three fire crackers I pop dotted it in the middle of the two other sets crackers. I cut away the words from the image in order to curve it and add the star. I pop dotted those too. I used my spicas by copic to add sparkle to everything. Hope you enjoy this and it gives you some ideas what to do with this wonderful set.Now on with the bog Hop.

Better late then never

The title says it all. I have been working over time and when I get home CRAFT? whats that. I have also been getting ready for the new releases tomorrow over at the character cafe. It all starts with a blog hop and chances to win free images and a guest design team spot. So be sure and stop over tomorrow to see all the great things the design team has in store.

But for today a little something from May's new images.

I really thing this image is great for a forgotten birthday, anniversary or such. He also comes with a blank sign in order to add your own words. or no sign at all. The possibilities are endless.  I colored him with my copics used two images so I could add cording to his sign and pop dot it. I also pop dotted him. The card is one I have gotten over at the scrapbook store. At .01 a  blank card what a bargain. They have such a wide verity. I used one of my stampin up punches for the ribbon strip added a few buttons and all done. Not bad for a quick card. Well enough for now. Be sure to check back tomorrow for all the great new images and ideas in store. Have a great day and happy crafting.
